Tuesday, March 30th
An event about the subway reefs project, artificial reefs, and their impact on humans. The event was hosted by NYC H2O and presented by a marine biologist, Bob Martore.
Wildlife Rehabilitation in NYC
Wednesday, March 24th
A presentation about what wildlife rehabilitation is, different types of NYC wildlife, and what you should do if you see an animal. This event was hosted by Brooklyn Bridge Parks Conservatory.
37th Annual GreenThumb GrowTogether Conference
Saturday, Feb. 20 - Saturday, Feb. 27
This event consisted of a series of workshops around a variety of topics, including home gardening, buying food sustainably, and herbalism.
Eat for the Climate
Wednesday, January 27th
The presentation was about the environmental impacts of each component of livestock production, including land use, irrigation, climate change, soil health, and two case studies: the Amazon rainforest and antibiotic overuse in China.
Climate Change Seminar
Thursday, January 21st
An informative lecture about what climate change is and what we can do to prevent it from getting worse. We learned about nasty effects of human-caused climate change such as rising sea levels, destroyed ecosystems, and worsening natural disasters.
